We have created this annual scholarship program for students who posses the same passion we have.

Each year, one undergraduate or postgraduate student who likes the outdoors or has an outdoor hobby will win a $1000 award.

  1. You should be currently enrolled as a high school or college student in any school in the USA or Canada. Post graduate students are also welcome.
  2. High school students or/and those who are below 18 years old should get a parent’s or guardian’s consent before applying in the program. Letter of consent with signature should be included with your entry.

How to join?

Write a 500 to 1500 words essay about the importance of having an outdoor hobby.

However, it should not be just about any story. It should emphasize the importance and benefits of going outdoors and should be valuable enough to help raise awareness.

NOTE: We are also eyeing for personality in your essay so it would be to your advantage if you take out the general advises and cliches.

Aside from all that, we asses your entries based on these other criteria:

  • Originality
  • Creativity
  • Feasibility

Submit your entries to: scholarship@outdoorhobbyist.com

Deadline: November 30, 2017.
